Our partnership with the March of Dimes is focused in four main
areas:

Our Director of Social Action along with the appointed Program Coordinator, Regional Program Directors, State Coordinators and the Staff of March of Dimes will work to ensure full implementation of PROJECT SATAPP and WalkAmerica.

Participate and Promote the
Prematurity Program
|
During the month of November, Phi Beta Sigma will promote the Prematurity Program in conjunction with the local March of Dimes. Chapters are asked to hold awareness seminars on campuses, churches and communities. We will introduce our Phi Beta Sigma Premature Awareness Campaign in Barbershops and Hair Style Shops. Implementation of Project SATAPP
|
Sigmas Against Teen-age Pregnancy Plus program provides the tools to make smart choices about a healthy lifestyle that will lead to responsible fatherhood for teenage to middle-aged single and married men. All Fraternity chapters across the country are requested to implement the SATAPP Program at least two times a year. The first event should take place during the second Saturday of March which is designated as SATAPP Day. The second event should take place during the Fraternity’s Social Action month in October.
