Brother Eric Harris appointed SE Regions Director of Technology |
Christia V. Rey, Southeastern Regional Director of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc has appointed a very talented brother to serve in the office of Technology Director for the Region. Eric Harris a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and a member of the Beta Rho Sigma chapter brings’ a wealth of corporate and personal experience to the position of Technology Director. He graduated from a small private high school in Charlotte and initially enrolled at the Air Force Academy. After one semester he decided to pursue opportunities as a civilian contractor working for the government in Chicago. Within a year he moved to Alabama to work for NASA as a Data Integration Specialist. While in Alabama, Eric sought to complete his degree from Alabama A&M University in the area of Computer Science. Within the Technology sector he has worked for Bank of America, Microsoft, IBM, Boston Gear Inc., and Teledyne Brown engineering to name a few. He graduated with a degree in B.S in Management Information Systems from A&M, and is considering going back for a Master in MIS.
“Brother Harris brings a wealth of experience and passion to the position”, says Brother Chris Rey. He is currently working at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC within the Consumer & Small Business Technology Group. He enjoys pondering about the impossible and how to make it possible. His passions are to help better the community by exposing it to technology and enhancing its education systems. “I knew he was a perfect fit for our region and capable of taking us to the next level” stated Bro Rey.
